$125 per 45 - 50 minute session
Payment of full fee or copay is due at the beginning of each session unless other arrangements have been made. Sliding scale fees available upon request.
About Insurance
The decision to utilize your health insurance benefits requires a number of compromises on your part as a patient and on my part as a provider. Outlined below are some of the compromises patients and providers face when complying with insurance company rules.
- Confidentiality is compromised as insurance companies require a diagnosis for insurance reimbursement. It is also quite common for insurance companies to request sensitive personal information regarding clinical risk, stressors in your life, family history, current symptoms and treatment history.
- Sessions are often limited to 20 or fewer per year requiring patients who wish to have additional sessions to pay out of pocket.
- Insurance companies may require detailed treatment plans and require providers to comply with a specific treatment modality that your provider feels is not in your best interest. If your provider refuses to comply with these recommendations the insurance company may deny payment.
- Insurance companies may delay or deny payment forcing patients to pay out of pocket or end treatment prematurely.
My Policy
I currently accept Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna, ComPsyc, Magellan, Medicare, MHN and TRI-CARE. For those of you who wish to utilize your insurance benefit, I will bill the insurance company directly and you will pay your copay to me. Please verify that I am a network provider with your insurance plan prior to our first session. If you have non-network benefits and wish to utilize them, I ask that you pay my fee directly to me and I will provide you with a billing statement for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I am in the process of certification with several other insurance panels so please check my website periodically for updates on insurance coverage.
Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
